You will have a safety team around you to ensure you have the right support and training.

Good safety work is proactive, not reactive, finding and controlling risk before it becomes an incident, not turning up after something's already gone wrong.
You'll own the risk register, machine operator competency, and the everyday presence on the floor that keeps hazards under control before they become a problem.

Run risk assessments, inspections and incident investigations across the business
Manage manual handling, machine guarding and operator competency programs
Build genuine trust with experienced operators
Take over practical safety training currently run by an external consultant, building your own program
What You'll Bring
You'll need to bring a passion for safety and a genuine interest in developing your career within a manufacturing environment. You're a people person who enjoys building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
A Cert IV in WHS is essential (or you're close to completing one).
At least 3-5 years' hands-on experience in manufacturing, warehousing, logistics or a similarly hazardous environment
Cert IV in Training and Assessment, ISO 45001 Internal Auditor training, or ICAM incident investigation training would be beneficial, or you're happy to undertake the training
Confidence to walk onto a production floor and be taken seriously by people who've been there longer than you
Who You'd Be Working With
You'll join a small safety team, reporting to a Safety Manager with genuinely deep industry experience who trains, supports and develops her team rather than just directing them.
Day to day, you're working across production and warehouse teams, not just sitting in a corner updating registers
Production and warehouse teams across the business
Office-based colleagues, including your counterpart who manages compliance, audits and documentation
External safety consultants and third-party providers
Regulatory bodies such as SafeWork NSW when required
